Just a small amount of Activated Charcoal will go a VERY long way. Commonly known as Horticultural Charcoal / Carbon, this stuff is exceptional for improving the overall conditions in both a houseplant's potting mix and that of a terrarium, too! It'll help keep the good and bad bacteria in perfect harmony, essentially 'sweetening' the soil to maintain a happy root system. Simply mix in two tablespoons of Charcoal with 1L of soil to create the perfect blend of goodness.

All houseplants are suited for Activated Charcoal, except carnivorous plants like Venus Fly Traps or Pitcher Plants. If your green friend is in need of a 'pick-me-up', simply repot him into the next sized pot and mix in some of our Charcoal! He'll very much thank you later! 😉
